More About Me
For as long as I can remember, I've always enjoyed helping and encouraging others. I have long felt the calling to provide empathy and acceptance to those who are struggling through coaching (and formerly through my therapy practice and adoption administration work).
With over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, and a specialization in helping kids and their families, I recognize the value of finding hope, balance, and fulfillment in life. My goal as a parent coach is to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where I can help my clients to feel seen, heard, and understood through the convenience of online coaching.
My career spans three decades, beginning as a social worker at Child Protective Services. Since then, I have held a variety of roles—including foster care and adoption agency administrator, caseworker, trainer, and counselor—which has given me the opportunity to work with a diverse array of individuals. I also have ample experience in the fields of family counseling, child welfare, domestic and international adoption, residential treatment, geriatric services, and vocational rehabilitation.
I use my experience and training to help my clients quickly identify issues and develop solutions to their parenting challenges. I value the uniqueness of each individual that I coach, honoring their personal experience, life journey, and long-term goals. When requested by a client, I offer a nonjudgmental, faith-based perspective rooted in the practice of Christianity, though my services are open to clients of any denomination or background.
